What is the ECGF about?

The inability to gain access to affordable finance can cause the business to suffer. Although a number of Barbadian firms apply to lending institutions for financing, too many are often unable to qualify or access the resources which they seek. The ECGF is a guarantee mechanism that compensates for the existing lack of collateral from SMEs while allowing for compliance with the high collateral requirements for loans from the financial institutions.
