IDB Invest invited the Barbados Chamber to jointly collaborate on the hosting of its Caribbean Series: Barbados Edition themed “Scaling Impact in Barbados”. IDB Invest launched this series to bring together key private sector players focusing on the driving sectors/projects in climate resilient infrastructure, renewable energy, fund management, agriculture and manufacturing. The event was held on Wednesday, March 20th at the Hilton Barbados Hotel and provided a networking space for public and private sectors to discuss a range of topics, such as climate resiliency, the role of private equity, and private debt in the Caribbean.

A significant milestone was achieved with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between IDB Invest and Barbados Chamber of Commerce during the event, symbolizing a commitment to collaborate closely on areas of joint interest, such as supporting the private capital ecosystem, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and resilient infrastructure.
