WHAT IS THE BARBADOS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE & INDUSTRY?
BCCI is a member based, not for profit organisation with a purpose to advance the interests of the business community.
WHAT DOES THE CHAMBER OF COMMERCE DO?
We play a leading role in influencing the social, economic and business environment of Barbados in order to create sustainable economic progress and quality of life for all residents of this island.
WHO IS LOCATED AT THE BCCI’S OFFICE?
The daily matters of the Chamber are managed and attended to by the BCCI Secretariat; whose employees are located at the Headquarter in Braemar Court, Deighton Road, Brittons Hill, St. Michael. The staff of the Secretariat include the Executive Director, Business Development Officer, Senior Accounting Officer, Marketing Coordinator, Administrative Assistant and Office Assistant. Given that our board members and committee heads are volunteer positions they would be found in their substantive workplaces.
HOW CAN I BECOME ACTIVE AND MAKE A DIFFERENCE THROUGH MY MEMBERSHIP?
You should always try to make the most of your membership. You can do so by attending our events, participating in our discussions, volunteering your services for committees and projects and any other creative way that may not be mentioned but may be supported by the BCCI in advancing its mandate.
HOW CAN I VOLUNTEER WITH THE BCCI?
BCCI’s work encompasses many areas of business. There is always a need for strategic thinkers, results oriented members and supporters of the Chamber who are willing to give of their time to further the mandate of the organisation. This can be done by being elected as a member of BCCI’s Council or serving on one or more of our committees of the BCCI.
WHO CAN ATTEND THE CHAMBER’S EVENTS?
BCCI events are open to the public especially the business community. Non-members are also welcome. The only exception is the Annual General Meeting where only members can vote.
HOW CAN MEMBERS PROVIDE FEEDBACK OR SUGESTIONS FOR PROGRAMMES, EVENTS, SESSIONS AND SO ON?

HOW CAN I BE ADDED TO THE MAILING LIST OR ACCESS THE E-NEWSLETTER?
To be added to the Chamber’s mailing list, contact the BCCI giving your name and email address. The Chamber Biz (newsletter) is available for everyone to read. Simply contact the BCCI via phone or email or contact us through this site.
HOW DO I PLACE AN ADVERTISEMENT VIA THE BCCI’S FACILITIES?
The BCCI offers advertising services via its newsletter, e-blast platform, website as well as through sponsorship and booth spaces at its monthly events. For more information, contact the BCCI at email@example.com or call 434-4750.
DOES THE CHAMBER DISTRIBUTE OR SELL ITS MEMBERSHIP LIST?
No we do not. All contact information received from our members is treated as confidential and will not be shared externally. However, our members’ names and categories can be found on our website.
