BCCI Represents at Doing Business in Barbados

The Barbados American Chamber of Commerce (BAMCC) through the Broward County Office of Economic and Small Business Development hosted a business luncheon and workshop event on Wednesday, 6th July, in Broward County, Florida at the Hilton Garden Inn – Miramar. The event was entitled Doing Business in Barbados.

At this event, Mrs. Lisa Gale – Executive Director, Barbados Chamber of Commerce & Industry BCCI and Ms. Petra Roach – Director, Barbados Tourism Marketing Inc (BTMI) were honoured with the roles of being the key speakers who represented Barbados.

Mrs. Lisa Gale also delivered a presentation in the seminar immediately following the luncheon which attendees were afforded the opportunity to meet with Mrs. Gale and learn more about Barbados and possible collaborations with the BCCI. Over 100 persons turned out for the event including elected officials of Florida.

Executive Director Gale in her review indicated that the persons were very receptive to the presentation and indicated their interest in advancing talks for doing business in Barbados. Interests spanned the renewable energy sector, pharmaceuticals, brand development, gastronomy and construction among others.

“The Barbados American Chamber of Commerce has commenced plans towards a mission to Barbados in mid October and have already received commitments from some of those attending. Since the signature of an MOU which started the relationship between the BCCI and the BAMCC in 2013 we are pleased that the trading links have been expanding. President of the BAMCC highlighted that since the partnership with the BCCI there have been two outbound information missions and this would be the first incoming Trade Mission to Barbados.”
